This baby elephant suddenly grabbed a man’s leg…
And refused to let go.
At first, everyone thought it was playing.
But then the elephant started making strange sounds.
It kept pressing its body against the man, wrapping its tiny trunk around his leg every time someone tried to pull it away.
The man didn’t know what to do.
He had never even seen this elephant before.
So why was this wild animal so desperate to stay with him?
People called a wildlife vet.
And when the vet examined the baby, he immediately noticed something was wrong.
The elephant was dangerously weak.
It was dehydrated, struggling to breathe, and had been separated from its mother.
But then the vet noticed something even more heartbreaking…
The baby wasn’t trying to attack the man.
It was asking him for help.
The man stayed beside it as rescuers gave the elephant emergency treatment.
And after several hours, the baby finally stood up on its own.
But instead of running back toward the herd…
It walked straight back to the man…
And wrapped its trunk around his leg again.
As if it was saying…
“Thank you for not leaving me.
